…was not in my mind when I went to Michigan. Yet, 8 years later, after founding Being1Group, we are representing The RBL Group in Brazil.

From a Coffee Shop to Being1Group
My first independent business experiment was a coffee shop. This food truck was designed in the shape of a soda can, and it was located on one of the favorite beaches for vacationing in Argentina back then. A couple of friends and I launched it together, it worked out quite well for a while and we had fun, but it didn’t last because it lack purpose. None of us felt fulfilled at the end of the day, eventhough sales were good and the feedback was great. The thing was, we enjoyed eating snacks more than selling them. (Insight #1 Purpose is important in business)
Later I had the opportunity to lead the family business in an expansion phase (Insight #2 Every business has to be scalable), at that time it was not so clear to me, but my purpose was to learn and develop the business mindset that years later would allow me to support the organizations I worked in. At this time I got married and then decided to start the business of my life, as described in my corporate side. (Insight #3 No matter what your business is about, the source is you, so invest wisely in yourself and your career).
And recently, after +25 years of corporate career, in 2019 I founded Being1Group, an organizational development and HR consultancy, in collaboration with my partner Verginia Durán. This venture, much more mature and purpose-oriented, integrates all previous learning and experiences, giving rise to Insight #4: it all adds up. Or like Nelson Mandela said “I never lose. I either win or learn”.
